| SABER Contract awarded to SKE SSG
|
| SKE Support Services GmbH (SSG) awarded a 24 Million Euro "Job Order" contract from the US Army Europe in Ansbach Germany on 26 Feb 2010. This contract is significant as it was awarded to an SKE competitor in August 2009. This award was "protested" by SKE SSG based upon alleged procedural and process inadequacies within the US Government contracting system. This caused a re-solicitation of the contract by the US Army Corps of Engineers in November 2009 only to firms that submitted proposals for the original tender. SKE was ultimately successful in this re-bid process thus securing the contract award in February 2010.The contract will support the consolidation and relocation of US ARMY aviation assets in Europe at the Ansbach facilities. The contract is an "Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity" type which covers a three year period (one base year and two option years) and will run through February 2013 or until the 24 million Euro capacity has been expended. |
